Something New, Something Old, and Something Blue

The weather’s been getting colder lately and today’s outfit was a desire to find a good transition outfit from summer into fall. Living in Texas, the weather still hits above the 90s, but people have started busting out the cardigans and even the UGGs after a long summer of >100 degree weather.

Today’s outfit included something new, something old, and was an all-over blue colored theme.

Sequined Flower T by Gap (XS)
High-Waist Mini Bandage Skirt in Indigo by Express (00)
Giraffe necklace from Forever 21
Whitsey Peep-Toe Pumps in Cognac from Aldo (5)

New:

Shirt: I had bought this shirt from Gap a couple of weeks ago when they have a 30% off Friends & Family sale. It’s a bit baggy on my but you can’t really tell once it’s tucked into the skirt. The Petite XS may have worked better, but they didn’t have it in the store when I was shopping that day.

Skirt: The skirt I actually just bought this weekend from Express during their Buy 1 Get 1 50% off sale stacked on top of another $30 off $75 coupon! It fits perfectly at the high-waist level and hits just above my knee. ❤ !!

Necklace: This necklace is also new from my shopping trip this weekend to F21. It was only $2.80 and the perfect playful accessory to top off the outfit. I also really like how the copper-colored necklace ties in with the cognac color of the shoes.

Old:

These Aldo pumps are probably at least 3 months at this point. These are some of my most favorite shoes as they are super comfortable and give me the extra 3″ of height that I need. I’m a huge fan of the hidden platform and the cognac color is a great transition color from summer into fall.

Blue:

I love the blue theme for today (with little bits of tan)! The white top keeps it light while the navy dress and tan shoes give suggestions of fall.

Hope you guys enjoyed my first OOTD (outfit of the day) post!

Hi. Thank you for stopping by my blog. You’re from Texas and petite, too :). I really like your outfit. It’s interesting how the skirt is classified as a mini on Express.com, and the length looks totally work appropriate on you. I don’t know how to follow you on wordpress. I bookmarked your blog :).

Welcome!

This is my little world where I invite you to indulge in my daily fashion and makeup experiments. I'm a little Asian girl who loves to escape from the confines of her ordinary world -- and what better way than to get all dolled up!

Fashion and makeup don't come easy to little asian girls though! Where do you find stylish jeans to fit a 5' 1/2" 98lb frame that's not a girl's size 12? And how do you pack on eyeshadows when you have small slanty eyes?

Stick around and I'll share with you my daily (misguided) adventures! :)
